He estado usando Microsoft Office para la combinación de correspondencia y está plagado de problemas de codificación de caracteres . Tengo curiosidad por saber si existe otra solución para combinar correspondencia además de Microsoft Office 2011 para Mac. Tengo una solución casera que también uso, pero busco algo más robusto. Sería bueno si admitiera mensajes con formato HTML.
1-use Mailchimp ( mailchimp.com ) tiene todas las campanas y silbatos: administración de listas de direcciones, listas de importación de una variedad de formatos, informes, suscripción/cancelación de suscripción, diseños html de arrastrar y soltar, etc. etc. Todo esto en su producto gratis
2-Ir a LibreOffice ( https://help.libreoffice.org/Writer/Mail_Merge_Wizard ). Se compara muy bien con lo que puede hacer Office y es mucho más flexible en el área de codificación de caracteres. Parece más torpe que Office, pero es gratis.

Acabo de tener un gran éxito con SerialMailer . La versión de prueba me permitió enviar 10 correos, que creé a partir de un archivo csv.
He usado esta solución con cierto éxito después de [muchas] pruebas y errores. :/ Esto requiere secuencias de comandos, pero la secuencia de comandos se puede guardar y usar repetidamente. Esta respuesta puede no ser la mejor solución, pero puede ser un buen punto de partida y espero que agregue valor.

Lo he estado usando para varias fusiones de correo y hasta ahora, no he tenido ningún problema.
Eh... ¿MS Office 2016? Además, ¿has probado Apple Mail? El mejor cliente del mercado, en mi opinión (pero, de nuevo, no he probado muchos)
