La pantalla externa adquiere y pierde señal aleatoriamente en Mavericks 10.9.4

Estoy tratando de usar una pantalla externa Planar PXL2790MW con mi iMac 11,3 (2,93 GHz 27 pulgadas) conectada por un cable Mini DisplayPort a DisplayPort.

La pantalla funciona de manera intermitente: en momentos aleatorios, adquirirá la señal de la computadora y luego la dejará caer nuevamente después de diez minutos a media hora. Informará que no hay señal durante varios períodos de tiempo antes de volver a encenderse brevemente. Reiniciar la computadora y encender y apagar el monitor (en cualquier orden) parece no hacer ninguna diferencia en si la señal se envía o no. Parece bastante aleatorio.

Lo mismo sucede tanto en BootCamp (Win7) como en OSX (10.9.4) Cuando la pantalla tiene señal, funciona perfectamente. Durante uno de los intervalos en los que estaba funcionando, intenté mover el cable con fuerza, incluso en los puertos, para ver si ese era el problema; no parecía hacer una diferencia.

Intenté eliminar el PRAM y restablecer el SMC, sin ningún efecto. Intenté detectar la pantalla en Windows cuando se apaga, también sin ningún efecto.

Editar: adjunto el registro de la consola para uno de estos eventos (uno particularmente breve, el monitor suele estar lúcido durante muchos minutos). La pantalla externa, como podemos ver, es 0x3f003d. Se enciende, luego, finalmente, el estado cambia a fuera de línea, sin ninguna razón que pueda discernir.

Sería útil si pudiera proporcionar la información de su consola sobre la marca de tiempo del evento. También observe si sucede cuando la tarjeta gráfica cambia a/desde una resolución más alta.
Probaste con otro cable? Menear no soluciona todos los problemas posibles del cable.
Gracias a ambos por sus respuestas. @Buscar: no se está produciendo ningún cambio de resolución que pueda identificar. Pegué el registro de la consola, pero no puedo ver nada allí que pueda causar que esto suceda en el lado de la computadora. En lo que respecta a ColorSync, la pantalla aparece en Dispositivos cuando recibe señal. De lo contrario, tiene un perfil registrado bajo su nombre de modelo.
@sdmeyers: siempre una opción. Recogeré un cable nuevo si la solución de problemas falla, pero tengo la sensación de que es algo en el software. El cable también es nuevo, por lo que vale.

Pasos para solucionar problemas

  • Prueba con otro cable

  • Verifique el registro de la consola para averiguar el motivo

  • Deshabilitar el cambio de gráficos

  • Abra la utilidad ColorSync (en la carpeta de utilidades) para ver si la pantalla está allí y qué controlador está seleccionado.

Abra la utilidad ColorSync y establezca el perfil actual en el mismo perfil que el de fábrica.

Agradezco su continuo esfuerzo por ayudar. El perfil ColorSync para esta pantalla siempre se configuró en el perfil de fábrica (/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Displays/PXL2790MW-4A237812-2547-38FC-40 específicamente). La opción Establecer fábrica en ColorSync está, en consecuencia, atenuada. Puede notar, además, que el sistema encuentra 39 modos para la pantalla iMac predeterminada (0x042735c0); esto no impide que funcione normalmente.
