¿Cómo reparar la pantalla Seiki 4K poco confiable con MacBook Retina Pro?

Estoy tratando de usar el modelo de pantalla Seiki 4k SE39UY04 con un MacBook Pro Retina de 15 pulgadas de principios de 2013 a 3840x2160 a 30 Hz con Mavericks. Conseguí que funcionara dos veces en dos días diferentes, pero al devolver mi MacBook a la pantalla e intentar volver a conectarme, ahora estoy fallando nuevamente en el tercer intento. Cada vez que he tenido que jugar con él durante unos 45 minutos hasta que de alguna manera conseguí que funcionara. Al principio parecía que usar SetResX era incompatible, así que lo desinstalé y pareció ayudar. Mientras estaba lejos del monitor, agregué QuickRes como alternativa a SetResX, pero ahora, incluso después de reiniciar varias veces y ya no ejecutar QuickRes, no puedo hacer que la pantalla externa funcione hoy. El síntoma es que el Seiki da el mensajeNot Supportpor lo que parece que ve una señal que no es compatible. Estoy usando el cable HDMI incluido con el monitor.

¿Hay alguna herramienta que pueda usar para ayudar a depurar por qué esto funciona de manera intermitente? ¿Hay algún tipo de controlador que necesita ser actualizado? ¿Este síntoma sugiere que el cable HDMI está escamoso? ¿Hay un buen orden para colocar la pantalla en relación con la pantalla integrada que está encendida (tapa de la computadora portátil hacia arriba)?

Después de juguetear durante aproximadamente una hora, conseguí que funcionara en este punto. Lo último que intenté fue abrir el panel de control de la pantalla y con el interruptor abierto de la computadora portátil externo a una escala de 1440x900. Luego cerré la tapa de la computadora portátil y hubo un zumbido, parpadeo, mensaje HDMI1 en la pantalla, ruido digital y falló después de 5 segundos. Abrí y cerré la computadora portátil nuevamente, ¡y funcionó!
Otra nota, creo que la segunda vez cambié la pantalla incorporada para que estuviera Scaleden el Displaypanel de control, tal vez por eso funcionó el segundo intento, ya que ahora la pantalla principal es Scaledcuando funcionó.
Ver televisión a través de un cable HDMI y conectado a Dish Satellite durante los últimos 2 años y fue en 6 horas anoche. De repente, una pantalla azul y la frase "No es compatible". Preguntándome cómo abordar el problema, esta mañana y todo se resolvió. Pensando tal vez cable HDMI.

Para resolver los problemas descritos, el monitor Seiki necesita que se actualice el firmware. Las instrucciones en el sitio web de Seiki son incorrectas para este monitor. Aquí están las instrucciones correctas para actualizar el firmware:

  1. Descargue el archivo .rar/.zip y extraiga el archivo "install.img" en una memoria USB recién formateada (FAT32)

  2. Coloque la memoria USB en el puerto USB 1 (el que está en la parte posterior, no en el lateral)

  3. Prende la televisión

  4. En su control remoto presione el botón "menú"

  5. Luego, en su control remoto, presione "0" 4 veces, eso lo llevará al menú de servicio.

  6. En el menú de servicio, elija la opción de actualización de software

  7. La pantalla mostrará una animación de actualización

  8. Espere pacientemente a que termine la actualización

  9. Apague la televisión cuando termine

  10. Desconecte la memoria USB

¿Dónde descargaste el archivo .rar/.zip? El .zip que encontré en seiki.com no tiene un install.imgarchivo. También está fechado 08/26/13 15:08(desde el interior del archivo configuration.xml). Desde que compré el televisor en 2014, no estoy seguro de que esto solucione nada.

Si es así, las Mac descomprimen por defecto el archivo zip y luego instalan el archivo img para que veas la installcarpeta en lugar de install.img, no estoy seguro de cómo deshabilitar, pero descomprimir en Windows puede solucionar el problema.
